Rock the Vote was seeking a campaign to target minority youth who were unlikely to vote in the urban Philadelphia landscape and around the United States.

Over 2,000,000,000 Impressions on Social Media.

Over 20,000 shares.

A reinvigorated conversation around key issues.

32% increase in minority voter turnout within a 3.5 mile radius of the event.

Overview

Utilizing data and key psychographic profiles — Rock the Vote was able to target a market where they would have the most visibility and impact for their Truth to Power campaign.

After deciding on 5 core issues of Mass Incarceration, Women’s Rights, Gun Control, Immigration Reform, and Climate Change — we found key partners to support us in bringing this message to life — everywhere from organizations such as #Cut50 to artists such as Michael D’Antuono and Michael Murphy.

In addition to creating an immersive experience — 3 days of extensive programming including celebrities, activists, politicians, and musicians were created to provide a nearly endless stream of live broadcasted content. Participants include: Senator Corey Booker, Van Jones, Rosario Dawson, The Black Eyed Peas, Andra Day, Aloe Black, and more.

By creating an environment to reach the masses and encourage activism and caring we gave people a platform and content to utilize on their own to keep the event happening all over the internet.
